Tommy McCoy grew up poor and scrappy. As a young man he discovers that he can fight with his powerful right arm. He becomes successful at boxing, however he has an alcoholic father.

McCoy is an American comedy/drama series that aired on NBC during the 1975-1976 season.

McCoy is an old fashioned cop with contempt for authority and a love of Kung Fu. Constantly being on suspension doesn't keep his boss, The Chief, from calling him in and partnering him up with another reluctant hero to get the job done.
